Schizandra

The Chinese name for Schizandra (Schizandra chinensis) is "Wu Wei Zi" meaning "five taste fruit". These little beauties possess all five of the important flavors (sour, sweet, salty, bitter, spicy) so affecting all five of the key organ systems. Schizandra is rich in phytonutrients, minerals, vitamins and essential oils and has been classified among the top scientifically identified adaptogenic herbs (Super Herbs) in the world.
