Decorate with pine nuts, dried persimmon slices or other delights.
Drink cold. Sweeten if desired.

Schizandra Wine Extract

A traditional and still very popular way to enjoy many herbs is to soak them in alcohol.
The active ingredients and flavours are extracted into the alcohol. Most alcohol extracts get stronger with age.
Schizandra is very enjoyable when soaked in red wine. It creates an excitingly potent and spicy wine drink. Full bodied reds are best. As schizandra is sour, it may be better to choose a sweeter wine. People who love Shiraz will love schizandra in wine!
We recommend 50 grams of Schizandra in 750ml of wine, but you can vary the amount to taste. Let the fruit soak for 1-2 weeks.
Drink one small glass a day. Refrigerate unused portion.
